39 weeks pregnant
Of all the Baby books we bought, this is the best we’ve read. It’s written for a British audience so there were things that were not relevant, but a Baby is a Baby and when it comes to sleeping, crying, feeding this Baby book is great. Each week it tells you what your Baby should be doing and is very reassuring.
A friend bought me this book, and I now buy it for friends who just had babies. It was absolutely brilliant. So helpful to learn really basic things (how often your
Baby might cry, how often they might want to feed, reactions to injections etc) that other books perhaps assume you already know. I also love the tone of the book ‘ the authors have pitched it just right: concise and reassuring without being patronising. They also encourage new mums to book a night out with pals. Very good advice.
It starts from birth and goes to 6 months. Just knowing that babies have a growth spurt at three weeks was an incredible help and explained why our Baby started to feed non-stop. The book even tells you how often your Baby is likely to be pooping ‘ good to know that the constant diaper changing wasn’t going to go on forever. The authors don’t patronize and help you make your own mind up on most things ‘ I just wish there was an Americanized version.

Question by The B: How can I see prior weeks information on my Yahoo Pregnancy calender. I set up a pregnancy calendar on my yahoo, and I’m truly enjoying it. I like that it gives me information on me and my Baby Week By Week.
However, I read something in my last week’s calendar, and I don’t now how to discover it. When i click on ‘whole calendar’, I get a journal sort entry , not week by week. Any tips on how to acess that section.

I’m 11 weeks today. Every week of my pregnancy I have been going to this website designed for pregnant women to see how my Baby is developing and how far he/she is at this point (because I’m curious and they won’t give you an ultrasound until 18 weeks in Canada.) I was looking at a picture of the 11 week Baby today in which you could see the Baby and the little hands and arm, and it looked almost like an x ray- you could see the bones in an almost unnatural way. I asked my husband how they got the shot.
Now I feel ill. thank you guys, you are making me feel SO much better. I’m going to tell my significant other off for making me feel so bad. lol. Ok my husband is arguing with me now. He says a lot of those pics are taken INSIDE the sac because otherwise they wouldn’t be so clear. He says you might be able to get a camera in utero without damaging the fetus, but not into the sac. I think his idea is, they put the camera in there before the actual abortion, and they don’t care how invasive they are because they are about to abort the
Baby. He said, or it is a dead
Baby in there from a miscarriage. thanks everybody, I read him the answers and he has stopped arguing now. he actually admitted that he was wrong. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement to all.
He said it was probably an aborted Baby, that if they got a camera and a light behind and in front of the Baby, that it was probably an aborted fetus. He showed me the pictures and said, any that are 3d ultrasounds, it’s probably a living Baby, but if it’s an actual picture, it’s probably an aborted Baby.

QUESTION: Why aren’t I showing yet. I am 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I was looking on Babycenter.com and saw pictures of girls 12 weeks pregnant with a belly already.
QUESTION: Twins.. Two heartbeats.. My doctor found three heartbeats, mine, one at 180, and one at 140. She thought I was having twins because I’m measuring more than a month bigger. This was at 17 weeks. At 18 weeks I had an ultrasound that only showed one
Baby. It was a regular type of ultrasound but they say those are pretty accurate at this stage in pregnancy. He wouldn’t move, but she still got pictures of his spine and his front and we didn’t see another
Baby. My question is what could have caused the other heartbeat. My doctor said that they weren’t the same heartbeat. The 180 she found really easy. It was at the bottom of my stomach. The 140 was at the top of my stomach, but hard to get to. She had to push in sideways to hear it, but it was clear. I was really sick at the beginning of this pregnancy, but am fine now. I’m also always exahasted. Other than those two things my pregnancy is no different then with my single babies. I’m now 20 weeks and measuring for about 26 or 27. Any thoughts. Why was there two heartbeats and Why am I measuring so big. They didn’t see no twin. THE
Baby IS MEASURING SMALL….. I go back to the doctor tuesday.
Also, I saw ultrasounds of babies at 5 week, 5 days or somewhere around there. When I found out I was pregnant, I went to the ER to get a proof of pregnancy. They gave me an ultrasound and told me I was 5 weeks and 4 days. All I saw was a black dot. They told me it was just a yolk sac but I was 5 weeks, 4 days. I have a regular OB now. I haven’t gotten any ultrasounds and I’m not showing at all. I think I’ve felt my Baby move a few times, don’t call me crazy because it can happen. Why am I not showing and how come I couldn’t see my Baby at all on the ultrasound.. Should I be worried.. Because I am. Also, when dot hey normally do ultrasounds, because like i said I saw them at all different stages and I was wondering if they just do it whenever the doctor feels ready, or when the parents ask. I’m not super small. I am 5’4” and 145lbs when i found out I was pregnant. I haven’t gained any weight. I’m okay with not showing yet, I just was wondering when it will happen. And like I said, I am almost positive I felt the Baby move. They said its not common for first time mothers ( like myself) to feel it that early on but it is possible. You cannot feel it on the outside, I mean my boyfriend can’t feel it of course. But I always feel this movement in the same spot, and it always feels similar. Its around the same spot the doctor put the doppler to hear the heartbeat. Also, I can only feel it when I am laying on my back and all my air is let out of my lungs, and when I am sitting in a chair or something and I am hunched over with my boobs on my knees practically. Okay. Lol.
